Fanatec has unveiled a new sim racing bundle that combines the ClubSport DD+ Wheel Base with the latest F1 V3 steering wheel. The bundle, named the “ClubSport F1 Racing System,” replaces the previous ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 bundle.
The ClubSport DD+ is compatible with PC and PlayStation and features a direct-drive wheel base that delivers up to 18 Nm of torque. Thanks to a recently released firmware update, this represents an increase over the previous 15 Nm. In addition, Fanatec’s “FullForce” technology is integrated, generating smooth vibrations in supported racing games and thereby providing a more immersive gaming experience.
The included F1 V3 steering wheel is wider than its predecessor and features a forged carbon surface as well as a color scheme inspired by Formula 1. The features also include a 2.7-inch OLED display with white output, 15 RGB LEDs, and two “FunkySwitch” rotary encoders.
The package also includes the Podium Advanced Paddle Module, which is equipped with magnetic paddle shifters and Hall sensors.
Pricing for the ClubSport F1 Racing System has not yet been announced. However, the previous package can still be ordered via Fanatec’s website for €1,149.95.
The new sim racing bundle will be presented to the public for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show this week. Visitors will have the opportunity to try out the system before its market launch. No specific availability date has been announced yet. According to Fanatec, the product is still undergoing “final approval” by Sony before production can begin.
“The ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 was a significant product for Fanatec, particularly because of its use at the highest level of competitive sim racing,” explained Tobias Stelzer, Vice President and General Manager at Fanatec.
“With the ClubSport F1 Racing System, we are introducing further improvements to the steering wheel while retaining the direct-drive performance that drivers already know from the ClubSport DD+. We look forward to presenting the product to visitors for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show.”
