In NASCAR 26, players have the option to customize driver ratings. This was confirmed by the Trackhouse Racing driver trio in a recent teaser video for the game.
- Driver ratings can be edited in NASCAR 26.
- The Trackhouse Racing drivers present this new feature in an entertaining presentation.
- The game will be released on September 18, 2026.
As has now been announced, players in NASCAR 26 can change the ratings of individual drivers.
In an entertaining video presentation featuring Trackhouse drivers Shane van Gisbergen, Ross Chastain, and Connor Zilisch, the drivers first shared their opinions of one another's in-game ratings. They then revealed that each driver's performance can be customized individually.
The ratings are divided across seven different NASCAR track types: Intermediate, Road Course, Super Speedway, Speedway, Concrete, Short Intermediate, and “Martinsville”. The half-mile oval at Martinsville Speedway is therefore considered so unique that it receives its own category.
An overall rating is then calculated from the individual ratings. The Trackhouse Racing driver trio apparently agreed that SVG deserved a rating of “99” for his performance on road courses. In just three seasons, he became the second-most successful road-course driver in series history. With eight wins, he is tied with Tony Stewart and just one victory behind Jeff Gordon, who has nine wins to his name.
It is currently unclear, however, whether players will also be able to adjust driver ratings in the game's central career mode or whether this feature will be limited to certain game modes.
NASCAR 26 is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 18, 2026. Buyers of the Gold Edition will also receive three days of early access if they pre-order the game.
