These release dates had already been anticipated by the simulator's fan community after the developer announced the following on the occasion of the first pack's release:
“Further Season Pass packs will follow. We expect to release the next two packs towards the end of the third and fourth quarters, respectively.”
The president and CEO of Motorsport Games has now confirmed the planned months during a recent conference call on the company's financial results.
“After the end of the quarter – MSG's second quarter ended on June 30 – we updated the game to version 1.4. This added Daytona and Laguna Seca, two of the most legendary race tracks in American motorsport, as the first part of our newly released US Track Pass.
We expect packs two and three to be released in September and December, respectively. We are also currently actively examining how content development for Le Mans Ultimate should continue in 2027.
Although we do not intend to open our Le Mans game title to fully independent racing content, we are convinced that there is still plenty of significant content that can meaningfully complement the Le Mans Ultimate experience, at least in the coming years.”
Sales of the US tracks exceed expectations
Sales of the first pack featuring Daytona and Laguna Seca are said to have exceeded expectations, even though the price of the US Track Pass was 55 percent higher than that of the Season Pass for the European Le Mans Series.
According to Hood, this contributed to the “highest daily revenue since the game's launch in Early Access.”
“So far, we have received a very positive response from our community to this release, the US Track Pass,” explained Peter Hansen-Chambers, the company's CFO.
“In fact, the Track Pass has exceeded our expectations, which is very pleasing. It was an extremely successful initial release.”
