- Laguna Seca and Sebring International Raceway have been added to RENNSPORT free of charge
- Second version of the AI released
- Permanent 50% price reduction introduced for the Standard Edition of RENNSPORT
RENNSPORT is continuing its extensive process of making amends by expanding the simulator with two additional free tracks.
Laguna Seca and Sebring International Raceway are the central content of the “Coast to Coast” update, which also includes a range of bug fixes. However, the previously announced Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport is not yet included in this update and will be added at a later date.
Of particular importance is the introduction of the second version of the AI opponents in RENNSPORT. This is intended to ensure that the virtual competitors behave more credibly and consistently. According to RENNSPORT operator Competition Company and development partner Teyon, the AI behavior has been decoupled from the frame rate, meaning that the AI should act more predictably even on lower-performance systems.
In addition, the AI has been accelerated on all tracks and is less prone to unusual excursions off the track thanks to adjusted random braking maneuvers, although some problems still remain. For example, AI vehicles can still collide with one another at Sebring and on the Nordschleife. Noticeable behavioral issues may also continue to occur, particularly in the area of the Nordschleife’s famous carousel corners.
Both Sebring and Laguna Seca are among the most important venues for endurance racing and are firmly established as part of the leading North American sports car series IMSA. This championship features both LMDh (GTP) and GT3 cars, all of which are represented in the game, making the integration of the two tracks a particularly valuable addition for motorsport enthusiasts.
