A new vehicle is expected to be added to RENNSPORT's vehicle lineup, as the fiercely competitive sim racing title has offered a first look at the HWA EVO.
Hans Werner Aufrecht's German motorsport and engineering company HWA has a long-standing relationship with Mercedes-Benz – Hans Werner Aufrecht was one of the co-founders of AMG. Although the current model is not officially licensed, it is a modern interpretation – or an exceptionally extreme "restomod" – of the 190E Cosworth from the 1980s.
The team plans to build 100 road-legal examples and is taking part in races on the Nürburgring Nordschleife as part of the development process, including this weekend's Nürburgring 24 Hours.
RENNSPORT's short video teaser shows only a shadowy silhouette, but the distinctive, angular proportions clearly reveal the EVO's tanks. The additional headlights also suggest that this is the racing version.
A specific release date for this vehicle model has not yet been set, as the transition from Nacon to self-publishing on consoles has led to delays for game updates and DLC. It was originally scheduled for release in March; a release sometime this month is now planned instead.
“The release of ‘Endurance Classics Part 1’, scheduled for May, remains a priority, but we are already working on preparing the next steps,” reads the description on social media.
