- The Simagic Alpha Evo Ultra offers 18 Nm of torque.
- It will be Simagic's flagship among its direct-drive wheelbases.
- The possible release is scheduled for March 12.
The Chinese hardware manufacturer Simagic has announced the launch of its latest wheelbase, the Alpha Evo Ultra. Simagic had previously announced that the 28 Nm wheelbase would replace the existing Alpha Evo Pro model with 18 Nm and would also feature the proven Zero-Cogging technology.
The front section of the new wheelbase will also be equipped with similar circular RGB lighting, which can be configured via telemetry to indicate when traction control or ABS is activated, as well as when active cooling is operating.
The Pro model has already impressed with its detailed feedback and competitive value for money, the two key pillars of Simagic's product range to date. With a 10 Nm increase in torque, we expect the Ultra model to take performance to a new level.
Some enthusiasts may be surprised that Simagic is presenting yet another wheelbase model, as this is already the fourth within a year. Nevertheless, the 28 Nm offering represents a significant step toward the high end of sim-racing hardware, where the company competes with rivals such as Accuforce, Simucube, and Asetek.
Furthermore, the continued absence of the company's highly praised magnetic digital displays, which are compatible with the Alpha Evo series, is disappointing.
More information about the Alpha Evo Ultra is expected on March 12, 2026, at 15:00 UTC, which could also be the release date.
