ACE | Assetto Corsa EVO's free-roam mode launches on December 9, 2026

The first version, initially limited in scope, will be released in Early Access in just under two months.

The first phase of Assetto Corsa EVO's free-roam mode will launch on December 9, 2026, with an Early Access update.

The much-discussed feature will allow players to explore a true-to-scale recreation of the Eifel region. A version that is still in development can already be tested this weekend at the SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt.

   

The area surrounding the Nürburgring Nordschleife includes nearby villages, narrow roads, and rural areas. In addition to paved roads, unpaved off-road routes are also available.

A world map displays points of interest, gas stations for refueling, and stations for changing tires. Point-to-point time trials with online leaderboards are also planned.

In addition to the single-player mode, an online multiplayer mode will be available at launch, supporting up to 30 people in free roam.

Following the release of version 0.10 in December, several further updates are planned to gradually expand the playable area of the Eifel region.
