The first part of the extensive “Spec IV” update for Gran Turismo 7 will be released on October 15, 2026.
This date was confirmed during the “Gran Turismo World Series” in Singapore.
The update includes six new vehicles, the “Sportsland SUGO” racing circuit, which has already been used for the Nations Cup qualification, as well as numerous improvements and new features. The second part of the update will be released in December and includes the “Autumn Ring,” an updated version of “GT Sophy,” and a family mode.
As already reported in detail, the October update will also include an area for classic car dealers, the “Car Concierge” service for ordering three used and Legend cars, as well as an increase to the collector level cap.
The “Car Viewer” allows players to view one of their vehicles against individually selectable backgrounds. This feature is reminiscent of a similar option that was previously available exclusively to PSV2 users.
Ferrari F355
The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta will arrive in Gran Turismo 7 this October as part of the upcoming “Spec IV” update.
The F355 represented a notable gap in the game’s previous vehicle lineup and marked the beginning of a new era for Ferrari. With this model, the company’s then-CEO Luca di Montezemolo fundamentally revised the frequently criticized 348 and thereby put the company on a significantly more positive course.
The vehicle features a distinctive 3.5-liter V8 engine that requires regular overhauls, as well as a choice between a manual transmission and the robotized “F1” transmission. Three body variants were offered between 1994 and 1999. In Gran Turismo 7, the fixed-roof coupe, also known as the Berlinetta, is represented.
A total of twelve vehicles will be part of the free “Spec IV” update. The first half will be released in October, with the second half following in December.
Six models were confirmed ahead of today’s “Gran Turismo World Series” in Singapore. These include an updated Mazda Gr.3-class vehicle, the Citroën 2CV, and a racing version of the Honda Civic. This classic Ferrari has now been added to the list.
The previously confirmed BMW M5 (E60), on the other hand, will be part of the update arriving later in December.
Experience Mode
The Xiaomi-specific “EV Experience” mode, previously announced as “Experience” mode, was briefly presented during today’s event. An image showed the brand’s two vehicles: the SU7 Ultra and the new Vision Gran Turismo.
In the background, a menu with short challenges could be seen. These require players to achieve specific time targets on various sections of track in order to receive rewards. It is assumed that access will be provided through “Brand Central” and that other manufacturers will also offer comparable challenges.
A separate teaser trailer was also released for the Chinese brand’s previously presented VGT model.
It was also confirmed that Thrustmaster will become a partner of the “Gran Turismo World Series.” The company also unveiled a new TGT-III steering wheel bundle.
