- The “Aussie Rivals Pack” includes the Holden Commodore VF and the Ford Falcon FG.
- The free DLC is part of the new game update to version 2.1.
With today's release, Project Motor Racing players have access to a new free DLC featuring Holden and Ford V8 Supercars in their 2013 specification.
The “Aussie Rivals Pack” contains a thoroughly revised version of the Ford Falcon FG, which was already released in March. In addition, the Holden Commodore VF, previously unavailable in PMR, expands the vehicle lineup.
The 2013 season represented a significant milestone for the Australian V8 Supercars Championship. Across a total of 14 races, the traditional rivals Ford and Holden competed alongside Nissan and Mercedes-Benz. Volvo joined in the following 2014 season.
The championship, held under the “New Generation V8 Supercar” regulations, was shaped by Triple Eight Race Engineering. The team's Holden-powered cars, driven by Craig Lowndes and the later champion Jamie Whincup, defined the season. International guest drivers such as Mattias Ekström, Andy Priaulx and Marc Lieb also competed in the endurance races.
The V8 Supercars produce up to 650 bhp and feature rear-wheel drive. This is intended to provide a challenging yet rewarding driving experience in PMR. Motorsport from the Southern Hemisphere has so far been represented only to a limited extent in modern sim racing.
Update 2.1 for Project Motor Racing
Project Motor Racing was updated to version 2.1 alongside the release of the “Aussie Rivals Pack”. As part of the update, the physics models for the GT3 and GT4 categories appear to have been fundamentally revised.
In addition, like the VR support that recently entered the alpha testing phase, support for three screens is now also in a corresponding testing phase. Players also have access to new in-game options for adjusting the display in the VR headset.
