- The PMR v2.1 update adjusts the handling of the GT3, GT4 and Aus V8 classes.
- It also implements support for triple screens in an early Alpha phase.
A new update has been released for Project Motor Racing, comprehensively reworking the handling of the GT3 and GT4 categories in particular.
With version 2.1, users with triple-screen setups can use this configuration in the game for the first time. The corresponding support is currently still in an early Alpha phase.
Rework of GT3, GT4 and Aus V8
The handling adjustments for the GT3 and GT4 classes were probably made by Aristotelis Vasilakos, who recently joined developer Straight4 Studios.
Vasilakos is considered a renowned figure in the sim racing scene. Among other things, he played a major role in developing the physics and handling of Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione. His expertise is intended to help improve the previously somewhat inconsistent vehicle handling in PMR. The recently released GT Icons Pack already provided an initial impression of his potential influence.
For the GT3 and GT4 classes, the Balance of Performance has been completely reworked. Among other things, the suspension, aerodynamics, turbo models, tyres, brake ducts, differentials and gear ratios were taken into account.
In addition, Straight4 has released the free DLC Aussie Rivals Pack. It includes a extensively reworked version of the familiar Ford Falcon FG as well as the new Holden Commodore VF. More information can be found here.
The new Aus V8 class has also been adjusted accordingly. Based on real-world data, the aerodynamic and tyre models of the individual vehicles in particular have been made more realistic.
Triple-screen support and improvements to VR
After VR support in PMR was recently moved into the Alpha testing phase, triple-screen support is now being integrated.
Although these features are still in an early development phase, the game already offers various options for configuring the respective settings. At the same time, the experience with VR headsets has been further optimized. Additional configuration options also allow players to further customize their individual gaming experience.
