- Release of nine new vehicles and an additional race track for Project Motor Racing
- The “GT Icons” DLC focuses on sports cars from the 1960s and 1970s and includes a faithful recreation of Road America
The latest DLC package for Project Motor Racing is now available for the game’s versions on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The “GT Icons” DLC adds nine new vehicles to the simulation and focuses on the golden age of sports car racing in the 1960s and 1970s. It covers the FIA GT, Group 4, and Group 6 categories, which are assigned to the GT60, GT70, and Sports Car 67 classes in the game.
In addition, a new race track is being added to the game, bearing a striking resemblance to Road America.
Rocky Knoll Raceway is situated amid a green North American landscape and adopts the long straights and sweeping corners of the real-world race track in the US state of Wisconsin. Two track variants are also available, including a shortened Grand Prix layout for motorcycles.
Since the driving physics and handling for this DLC were developed under the direction of sim racing physics expert Aristotelis Vasilakos, developer Straight4 Studios hopes that the “GT Icons” package will positively influence the game’s future development following a difficult start.
Vasilakos is no stranger to tuning and modifying historic race cars. He played a key role in developing the “Power & Glory” mod for GTR 2 — an ambitious project that recreated sports cars from the 1960s and 1970s with great attention to detail.
The “GT Icons” DLC for Project Motor Racing is now available for €14.99.
