- The Lamborghini Temerario GT3, Circuit Bugatti, Circuit Paul Ricard, and Winchester Speedway will be available in iRacing with the “Season 1 2027” version.
- Development of the career mode and the new graphics system will continue.
The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 has thus been officially confirmed for iRacing’s upcoming December update.
The Temerario is the latest GT3 competition car from Sant’Agata. Unlike its predecessor, the Huracán, it does not feature the latter’s characteristic V10 engine, but instead uses a high-revving twin-turbo V8 that produces a significantly different exhaust note.
The car currently competes in the IMSA GTD Pro and GTD classes, as well as in the GT World Challenge Europe and DTM. Other racing simulations, including RaceRoom and Project Motor Racing, already offer the Lamborghini in their vehicle lineups. Assetto Corsa EVO also recently introduced a road version of the car.
According to Tony Gardner, president and CFO of iRacing, the “Season 1 2027” version will also include Circuit Paul Ricard, Circuit Bugatti, and Winchester Speedway. Gardner made the announcement in an episode of the “iRacing Downshift” podcast. iRacing had already announced all three tracks previously. In addition, Circuit Paul Armagnac (Nogaro) and Circuit Ricardo Tormo (Valencia) are planned for future versions.
More balanced distribution of new content in the future
“We haven’t released particularly much new content in recent years,” Gardner explained. “The reason was that we have been reworking existing content for the NASCAR game—first for iRacing and now for the INDYCAR game.”
“That was necessary. However, we are now close to catching up on this backlog and ensuring a better balance in the future. As a result, Circuit Paul Ricard and Circuit Bugatti will be released in December. Short-track fans will also get Winchester Speedway, as well as a Lamborghini GT3. In addition, we have several other outstanding pieces of new content in preparation. So I think users can look forward to those as well,” Gardner added in conclusion.
iRacing fans can therefore look forward to an increased focus on new content again in the coming months. Other key development priorities through 2027 include a new graphics engine and a career mode.
