- Fanatec's Podium Pedals will be launched in July.
- The Podium and Formula Podium Pedals will be available for €699.95.
Last year, Fanatec unveiled its new Podium Pedals at the SimRacing Expo as the top-of-the-line model in its product range. Originally, a launch in the first quarter of this year was expected. In a blog post, the peripheral manufacturer has now confirmed that its new premium pedals will be shipped in July at a price of €699.95.
Fanatec's new pedals will be available in two configurations: Podium Pedals and Formula Podium.
The first configuration includes brake, throttle, and clutch pedals, while the second features only brake and throttle pedals, but with carbon heel plates and integrated side supports. However, it should be noted that both configurations are priced the same. A key advantage of the Podium Pedals is their unique load-cell brake sensor. The tester confirmed a load capacity of 200 kg, and the system is combined with a system Fanatec calls the "Elastomer Compression Control System".
Elastomers are already established in sim-racing pedals, but Fanatec's patented design features a novel construction consisting of four sleeves that can be tightened or loosened without tools. This is beneficial because it allows users to switch between harder and softer elastomers without having to replace the parts.
The Podium Pedals can be pre-ordered on the Fanatec website.
