Asetek has officially announced that it has accepted a takeover offer worth more than 80 million US dollars from the Chinese electronics company Suzhou Chunqiu Electronic Technology Co.
  • Takeover offer from Suzhou Chunqiu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. for Asetek accepted.
  • The transaction is scheduled to close on April 23.

As part of the transaction, 303,298,827 shares, representing approximately 95.3 percent of Asetek's total share capital, will be transferred to the prospective new owner. Asetek's total equity value was previously estimated at around 85 million US dollars.

The deal also includes the company's sim racing division, Asetek SimSports, which generated revenue of 1.3 million US dollars in the third quarter of 2025 despite challenging market conditions and unpredictable US tariffs that negatively affected production in China and Taiwan. In response to these challenges, the company increased production at its facility in Malaysia, with the takeover aiming to strengthen the company's market position in Asia.

SimSports, known for developing sim racing equipment for both enthusiasts and professionals, launched its entry-level product line,
