RENNSPORT recently confirmed that the next content pack will be expanded with additional vehicle classes. A first look at the Genesis GMR-001 appears to confirm this announcement.

The news follows yesterday's teaser for the Lamborghini SC63. Both vehicles belong to the LMDh category and compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship as well as the IMSA SportsCar Championship, where they are classified as GTP.

While the Lamborghini has since withdrawn from racing, the Genesis – the luxury brand of the Hyundai Group – will be introduced for the 2026 season. The vehicle features a V8 engine that essentially consists of two WRC engines arranged in tandem. It was originally expected that the Genesis would make its IMSA debut in the upcoming season. However, this plan has been postponed.

This would make RENNSPORT only the second sim racing title to feature the Korean race car. Based on the current information, it would also be the first racing game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to include the vehicle.

The complete vehicle lineup for the next content pack is expected to be confirmed at the SimRacing Expo Frankfurt. The event will take place from October 16 to 18, 2026. In addition to the finale of the R1 e-sports competition, details about the next game update are also expected to be announced there.
