The “Hypercar” expansion pack for RENNSPORT was announced last week at the SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt. However, one important detail initially remained open: the release date. It has now been confirmed that the expansion will be released earlier than expected.
RENNSPORT has announced that the new “Hypercar” expansion will be released as early as October 23. The price is €11.99; any discounts available in the online shop are not taken into account here.
The expansion includes four Hypercar prototypes from the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
These include the Lamborghini SC63, the Genesis GMR-001, the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, and the Toyota TR010. Particularly noteworthy is that the TR010 will therefore appear in a sim racing title outside Le Mans Ultimate for the first time.
In addition to the new vehicles, the Hypercars already included in RENNSPORT will also receive an updated tyre model as well as adjustments to engine power, aerodynamics, and vehicle configuration.
Alongside the DLC release, a free patch update with several improvements will be released. In particular, the graphics for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be enhanced through improved anti-aliasing, which reduces visible flickering, as well as revised lighting.
In addition, the number of participants in custom multiplayer starts will be increased to 24 players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This is the developer’s response to player feedback. Online races will also be able to last up to one hour in the future. For the PC version, the update also adds support for SimHub, allowing telemetry data to be displayed on the screens of compatible steering wheels.
