- iRacing subscription costs will increase starting August 18, 2026
- Players can renew their subscription early before the changes take effect
iRacing announced today that subscription costs will be increased across the board for new and existing players.
This is only the second time since 2008 that iRacing subscription costs have increased; the new pricing structure is set to take effect on August 18, 2026.
Until this date, however, new and returning customers can extend their subscription term by up to two years, extending it beyond the scheduled end date of their current contract. Once this period expires, the new prices will apply: the price of a one-month subscription will increase by $1.75 to $14.75, while a 24-month subscription will become $23.50 more expensive, rising to $222.50.
Fortunately, prices for vehicle and track content will remain unchanged for the time being, with iRacing continuing to offer more than 30 vehicles and more than 25 tracks as base content.
The pricing structure of the US-based simulator has been a hotly debated topic for several years, with many virtual drivers praising the benefits of its unparalleled online matchmaking services. Others, however, view the comparatively high content prices and the need for a subscription to access purchased content as significant drawbacks.
Regardless, iRacing reportedly has more than 350,000 subscribers worldwide and is currently aiming to introduce a single-player career mode and a new graphics system in the future, alongside its usual selection of vehicles and race tracks.
The company's publishing division, iRacing Studios, is also working on a second video game under the NASCAR label (NASCAR 26) as well as an official IndyCar title, while it already successfully launched the more accessible iRacing Arcade earlier this year.
